Permaculture: an agricultural system or method that seeks to integrate human activity with natural surroundings so as to create highly efficient self-sustaining ecosystems.
Our main goal is to provide environmentally conscious humanely raised, nutrient dense pastured chicken to our local community while providing educational experiences for locals with a desire to form connections to their food and build community with farmers.
We are the Gardners, a big family with a dream for a little farm of our own. We left rented acreage in Oregon to chase that dream. Moving into the city to get out of debt, save money, and begin the final search for the “dream farm” was a big leap in our journey. So we're making town life work for us & making this time worth it by learning, growing as well as finding creative ways to apply our knowledge on a small scale. All the while doing our best to provide our family with the best food possible.
We’ve been family homesteading for almost a decade. In that time we've had a lot of success but even more failures that taught us many lessons. Pasturing poultry has taught us to closely observe our systems and connects us to our food in a way we've never felt before. We feel confident in the quality of meat we produce and feel the call to provide this wonderful nutrient dense food to our community.

Pastured Chicken CSA
Small batch family raised in the Black Hills. Grown on pasture with access to sunlight, fresh air, local grain & water 24/7- Non-GMO. No hormones, antibiotics or vaccines EVER! Local ecologically & humanely raised meat- $10 up front deposit per bird, balance due at pick-up. $4.75/pound if reserved by April 1st
Yardbird Plucker Rental
Raising your own birds but don’t want to buy a plucker? We’ve got you covered. You can rent our plucker for $50/day!
Garden Consultation & Design
For those needing a little garden guidance or maybe just don’t know where to start. Let’s get together and chat about your garden dreams. I’ll point you in the right direction! This is the best option for folks who want to pick my brain for garden inspiration and a boost of confidence. You have it in you to be an amazing my gardener, and I can help! I offer 1 hour or 3 hour consultations depending on your specific needs. 1 hour virtual consults also available via video chat!
Gardening Mentorship Group
Only available to Black Hills locals, our mentorship’s group gives you the chance to meet in person with me. We will start in my garden and eventually meet in yours. Once a month we will spend 2 hours together and talk all things gardening and of course get our hands dirty!
Hands-On Workshops
